WTTW’s Chicago Tonight at Changing Worlds’ Student Artwork Exhibition
Changing Worlds’ 2007 student art exhibit, Creating Art — Building Connections, was on display at Gallery 37 from September 11- November 17. The annual exhibit featured artwork in varied media by Chicago Public School students in its Literacy and Cultural Connections program. Their art was inspired by family interviews and memories and was accompanied by their personal stories.
During the opening reception for the exhibit, Tracey Campbell from Channel 11 interviewed proud students, artist, teachers and staff as part of a special feature on our Literacy and Cultural Connections program, which aired on Chicago Tonight’s Artbeat segment.
