Sy Frolichstein, Vice President of Resource Development, was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. After graduating from the University of Illinois as an architect, he served three years as a line officer in the Navy and traveled throughout the Far East.
He returned to Chicago and worked for three large architecture firms and was a partner for 25 years in a midsized firm. He now does some developing, which includes building houses in Michigan.
Sy has served on several boards and finds Changing Worlds´ work exciting. He is married to Susan; they have two married children and three grandsons.
Sharon R. Hidalgo is a managing consultant for Hewitt Associates, a global HR consulting and outsourcing firm located in Deerfield, IL.
Sharon has held several senior management, marketing and operations positions at Marsh & McLennan and Xerox Corporation, respectively. Sharon is a graduate of Indiana University where she majored in speech pathology/ audiology and performed at Indiana University´s School of Music. She is a trained ballet and jazz dancer.
While in New York, Sharon participated on several executive boards for the arts and music. It is her love of the arts and music and her passion for diversity that drew her to Changing Worlds. Sharon is actively involved in the corporate diversity initiatives of Hewitt Associates. She is currently a member of the senior advisory council for corporate diversity at Hewitt.
Lisa Moultrie is an independent consultant for nonprofit organizations and foundations. Among the services she provides are project management, strategic planning, special event management, fundraising and proposal reviews. Her clients have included the Chicago Community Trust, Ada S. McKinley Community Services, Art Institute of Chicago and Shared Interest. For three years, Ms. Moultrie was project director for arts for Learning/Chicago, an arts education program.
Additionally, Lisa has done educational research, studying issues such as school governance and desegregation. Her expertise has been put to use by the Center for School Improvement at the University of Chicago, the former Department of Research, Evaluation, and Planning at the Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Urban League. For nearly eight years, she also worked in the philanthropic field. She has worked at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, The Hitachi Foundation, and the MacArthur Foundation. She has taught classes and workshops at the University of Chicago, North Park University, and Chicago State University. Lisa has a BA from Bryn Mawr College and an MA from the University of Chicago.
