Sy Frolichstein
Changing Worlds´ Board Member

Changing Worlds´ board member Sy Frolichstein shares the organization’s commitment to diversity. "I was very impressed with Changing Worlds the first time I attended an event and then visited a school program," he said. What he saw was a program providing strong support for kids to embrace their diversity, something close to his heart. Sy and his wife Susie moved to Evanston in the 70’s to raise their children in an environment with racial and economic diversity. He is pleased that his children have chosen to stay there and raise their families in the same diverse community. Sy believes strongly that "the only way our country is going to work is if people from all walks of life can live together, work together and understand each other."

Diversity was one reason he was happy to join Changing Worlds´ board of directors. He had served on numerous boards before, but found none of them to be very integrated. "Changing Worlds" board of directors is integrated with people of different ages, backgrounds and skills, with everyone working together toward a common goal. The board has a strength that will help grow and develop the organization." Sy chairs the board’s Resource Development Committee.
